Job Description Job Description Position Summary Work closely with customers to determine their needs, answer their questions, and recommend the right solutions to ensure their expectations are met. Identify the technical approach to be used on a given proposal and manage the quoting process. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Contact customers to discuss their needs, and to explain how their needs could be met by specific products and services.
Utilize technical knowledge of regulations and product capabilities/limitations to select the products that best fit customers’ needs and to explain the operation and use of products. Quote and negotiate prices, credit terms, and other bid specifications. Maintain quotation and submittal logs in Salesforce.
Manage all necessary documents and troubleshooting as required by the customer. Answer customers’ questions about products, prices, availability, or credit terms. Maintain quotation and submittal logs using Salesforce.com.
Conduct thorough job specification reviews. Act as liaison between engineering team and the customer Work with engineering team to create standard format documents, IOM, specifications. Define witness testing pricing and include it in Dolphin.
Support Project Manager in documentation, including testing procedures, witness testing, and other certificates required by project. Inform customers of estimated delivery schedules, service contracts, warranties, or other information pertaining to purchased products. Prepare reports on sales trends and sales history.
Prepare sales presentations or proposals to explain product specifications and/or applications. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, vendors, and all coworkers. Attend sales and trade meetings, and remain up to date on market conditions, business trends, and industry developments.
Qualifications High school degree, or equivalent. Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices. Proficiency in English.
Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Excellent knowledge of MS Office. Problem solving and decision-making skills.
Relationship management skills and openness to feedback. Excellent prioritizing, time management, and organizational skills. Ability to successfully manage competing demands and adjust to frequent change, delays, or unexpected events Excellent written and verbal communication.
Ability to create and deliver clear and consistent proposals/presentations tailored to the audience needs. Strong computer aptitude, which includes expertise with Microsoft Excel and Word. Ability to work as part of a team and to take initiative independent of direct supervision.
Willingness to “go the extra mile” to ensure customer satisfaction and to drive sales. SPP Pumps will provide formal training in pumping systems. Preferred Qualifications Preferred qualifications are in addition to the above listed minimum qualifications and are considered a “plus factor” in identifying top candidates.
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering. Bilingual. Experience working with global client groups.
Intelliquip and Salesforce experience. CAD and/or SolidWorks design experience. Experience in a manufacturing environment.
