OCCAM Space is looking for an Electrical Systems & Harness Engineer to contribute to the development of our next generation of space Deployment Solutions.

What will you do?
- Translate customer and mission requirements into electrical architectures and interfaces, including power distribution, grounding, bonding and shielding.
- Design electrical harnesses, selecting wires, cables, connectors, backshells and pin allocations, and defining shielding and routing.
- Produce electrical diagrams, ICDs, wire lists, Bills of Materials and manufacturing documentation, and perform electrical analyses including voltage drop, current-carrying capability and derating.
- Work closely with Systems and Mechanical Engineering to ensure proper electrical integration and define technical requirements for electronic units.
- Coordinate technically with electronics suppliers, reviewing schematics, design documentation, qualification plans and test results.
- Support harness manufacturing, integration and electrical MAIT activities, including inspection, continuity and insulation testing, functional testing and troubleshooting.
- Participate in design reviews, qualification and environmental testing, supporting the resolution of electrical anomalies and non-conformances.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Aerospace Engineering or a related technical field.
- Around 4–5 years of experience in electrical systems, harness engineering, avionics or related activities, ideally within space, aerospace, defence or other high-reliability environments.
- Practical experience in electrical harness design and in defining electrical architectures, interfaces and interconnection diagrams.
- Good knowledge of wire sizing, connector selection, grounding, bonding, shielding and EMI/EMC principles.
- Good understanding of analogue and digital electronics and common electrical interfaces, with the ability to specify electronic units and critically review schematics and technical documentation.
- Hands-on experience working with manufacturing, integration and test teams, with strong troubleshooting skills and willingness to work directly with hardware.
- Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external suppliers.
- Professional working proficiency in English.
- Professional working proficiency in Spanish.
