Infrastructure Business Systems Analyst (Portland, OR) Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Define scope and nature of pilot(s). Communicate with pilot users, set expectations, etc. Define/refine the role of floor walker, understanding responsibilities and processes, determining if partial or full night shifts are needed, and resolving issues like machines not on or migration failures.
Collaborate carefully with UX team for message creation and timing of end-user communications. Work with IT at all locations to define their schedules within the Master Migration Schedule and scope of migration/batch (location, departments, etc.). Determine limits and capacity for nightly migration (network, support, etc.).
Communicate with internal teams regarding scope parameters for batch creation. Handle exceptions/issues from stakeholders and coordinate with local IT for remediation. Assist local IT, help desk, or OMI in remediating migration issues.
Coordinate strategically regarding VIP migrations for OpCom and other VIPs. Participate in Quarterly IT Shop Win11 Meetings and Monthly Q&A Sessions facilitated by the central IT team. Requirements Be a self-starter capable of initiating plans/actions independently.
Communicate and collaborate clearly and quickly with stakeholders, Client Engineering, local IT, floor walkers, etc. Assess and balance multiple priorities when creating migration schedules. Have a basic understanding of all aspects of standard infrastructure processes.
Maintain detailed documentation: business, functional, and technical requirements; use and test cases (ensuring traceability). Document design decisions: who made, approved, and agreed on decisions or alternatives. Maintain landscape documentation of current operations (As-is).
Develop test cases based on functional and technical requirements. Document work instructions, configuration guides, operation/administrative guides as needed. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Technical/Analytical Decompose business requirements into functional and technical requirements.
Use activity, sequence, and data flow diagrams to identify performance requirements. Experience in writing Use Cases. Analyze and document business and system processes.
Perform gap analysis using business process diagrams, data models, and requirements. Identify causes of problems in business process flows. Recognize problems and gaps at the program or system level and suggest solutions.
Identify test data based on various requirements and documentation. Proficient with MS Office tools, including Visio and Excel. Department: Preferred Vendors This is a contract position.
