Infrastructure Automation Engineer

This team is the backbone of data reliability and scalability. As a DevOps‑focused group, we manage and operate critical data infrastructure—Kafka, Cassandra, RDS, PostgreSQL, Elasticache, and other data platforms—that power over 100 microservices serving millions of users worldwide. Our 50+ engineers span North America, India, and China, collaborating across time zones to ensure that our services are performant, resilient, and always available.

The team thrives on solving complex distributed systems challenges, automating at scale, and driving continuous improvements in observability and efficiency. We are seeking an expert Contract Infrastructure Automation Engineer to execute a critical set of projects focused on automating and scaling our core data infrastructure platforms (Kafka, Cassandra, RDS, PostgreSQL, Elasticache) primarily within the AWS cloud environment. This is a high‑impact, hands‑on role requiring deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Python, and advanced CI/CD practices.

The role will be 60% operations and 40% development, requiring strong skills in both areas. Top Skills AWS – extensive, hands‑on experience with Amazon Web Services. Ability to implement and manage complex cloud infrastructure.

Terraform/Ansible – provisioning and configuration management of AWS resources (EC2, VPC, IAM). Practical experience automating operations for distributed data platforms (Kafka, Cassandra, RDS, Elasticache, PostgreSQL, MariaDB). CI/CD pipeline development – building and optimizing pipelines using Jenkins to automate infrastructure deployment, continuous testing, and incident management workflows.

Python – infrastructure scripting and API integration. Additional Skills & Qualifications Infrastructure as Code – deep, hands‑on experience with Terraform (resource provisioning) and Ansible (configuration management). Cloud Expertise – mandatory, extensive hands‑on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Automation Core – expert proficiency in Python for infrastructure scripting and API integration (e.g., Boto3). CI/CD & DevOps – expertise in building and managing CI/CD pipelines, specifically with Jenkins. Platform Knowledge – practical experience automating operations for distributed data platforms (e.g., Kafka, Cassandra, RDS, Elasticache).

Project Execution – proven ability to execute, deliver, and document complex technical projects autonomously. Experience Level Expert Level Job Type & Location Contract position based out of Richardson, TX. Pay and Benefits Pay range: $55.00 – $60.00/hr.
