This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career. Responsibilities Providing standard and local hardware support for workstations, laptops, tablets, Zebra & HP Printers, servers, VMware, terminal servers & networking. Providing standard and local software support for VMware, Windows OS & MS Office suites, Lotus Notes DB, and McAfee software.

Maintaining site dashboards for computers, printers, servers, networking equipment, IT work tickets & PC/server vulnerabilities. Possessing HP Data Protect knowledge for the site data backup and disaster recovery needs. Providing active directory expertise for file share and SQL DBA (backup, migration, and recovery).

Responding to after-hours support calls maximizing site‑related resource uptime. Qualifications To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution. Five (5) years experience in Information Technology in a manufacturing, private, public, government or military environment.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Experience with configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining Microsoft PCs. Experience with Cisco networking and associated security protocols. Combined experience with integrating process control equipment in a lab and/or manufacturing environment.

Experience working with HP servers, Cisco network switches, and firewalls hardware and software. Location & Travel Location: Tonawanda, NY Travel: Up to 5% Relocation Assistance: May be authorized. Compensation & Benefits The expected compensation range for this position is $96,557 - $118,014, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. The range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
