Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Key Competencies

• Minimum Grade 12
• National Diploma / Trade Test Certificate in Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 3–5 years' relevant experience in an industrial/mining/plant environment
• Minimum 3–5 years' relevant experience in an industrial/mining/plant environment
• Proven hands‑on experience with level measurement instrumentation, specifically VEGA level probes and associated equipment
• Sound knowledge of PLC systems, control loops, and process instrumentation
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
• Willingness to work at the Lethabo Site and participate in standby duties
• Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving ability
• Good understanding of electrical safety standards
• Good understanding of electrical safety standards
• Strong communication and reporting skills
• Team player with a proactive approach to maintenance

Duties And Responsibilities (not Limited To)

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and control systems on plant equipment
• Configure, calibrate, and maintain VEGA level probes and related level measurement instrumentation (radar, ultrasonic, guided wave radar, and capacitive probes)
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on instrumentation and control panels
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on instrumentation and control panels
• Interpret electrical drawings, loop diagrams, and P&IDs
• Ensure compliance with relevant electrical and safety legislation (e.g. OHS Act)
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, and calibration certificates
• Liaise with equipment suppliers (including VEGA) on technical support, spares, and servicing where required
• Participate in standby/on-call duties as per site requirements

The candidates must be medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act and the Company standards for medical fitness.
