ICU Registered Nurse - Bermuda

Remedy International Medical are working with an established hospital in Bermuda, which is a British Overseas Territory to recruit an experienced Registered Nurse, with ICU/CCU experience. Situated in the North Atlantic, with a sub-tropical climate, beautiful beaches and aquarium-like waters, and plenty of sandy coves, if you love the outdoors, this could be the island for you. Responsibilities: Gives direct patient care safely and efficiently.

Demonstrates exceptional decision-making abilities in critical situations. Utilizes the nursing process and develops a nursing care plan for each assigned patient. Acts as a patient advocate, communicating between patient, family and other members of the health team.

Initiates and participates in patient care conferences. Uses equipment and supplies in a safe and economical manner. Assigns, advises and directs other support personnel as required.

Assumes in-charge duties as required. Assumes responsibility for professional development by participating in continuing education programmes, keeping current with professional literature, and participating in professional organizations. Qualifications &/ Registration required: Registered Nurse with Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma from an accredited institution.

Critical Care Nursing course certification Trauma nurse Core Course (TNCC) certification – Emergency Nurses Association preferred. Current registration as required by the Bermuda Nursing Council. Two years continuous recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an ICU.

Current certifications: American Heart Association (AHA), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Basic Life Support (BLS), IV Therapy. Experience in Physical assessment essential.
