IBA Accountant

Overview

In this role you will lead day-to-day IBA and client money activities within a growing, international reinsurance finance function. You will collaborate with cross‑jurisdictional stakeholders to ensure accurate accounting and strong controls, while driving efficiency improvements. The position offers global exposure and a chance to influence process enhancements in a fast-paced environment.

You will contribute to FCA CASS 5 compliance and resilient financial operations, supporting audits and shaping the future of IBA processes.

• Own IBA processes including cash allocation, insurer settlements, and client money management
• Perform and review reconciliations across client money and insurer accounts
• Support Client Money Calculations in line with FCA CASS 5
• Manage aged balances and resolve unallocated cash issues
• Liaise with brokers, underwriters, and internal finance teams across UK and overseas offices
• Support audits and maintain strong financial controls
• Identify and implement process improvements within IBA operations

• Proven experience in an IBA / Insurance Accounting role
• Background in an insurance broker, MGA, or reinsurance environment
• Confident managing reconciliations, settlements, and stakeholder queries
• Strong attention to detail with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
