This appointment is critical to the organisation’s next phase of growth and is being treated as a top priority. The Role This is a broad, hands‑on HR leadership position combining operational delivery with strategic support.

The role has been created as a new layer within the HR structure, providing leadership depth and enabling senior HR leadership to step back from day‑to‑day activity. You will act as a key link between senior HR leadership, central HR support and plant‑based HR teams, driving consistency, effectiveness and continuous improvement across the wider organisation. Key Responsibilities Act as a central HR lead across the full organisation, beyond a purely plant‑focused remit Provide leadership, coaching and mentorship to HR team members, including direct and indirect oversight Remove operational roadblocks and improve overall HR effectiveness Support the implementation, optimisation and ongoing improvement of HR systems and processes Operate in a visible, hands‑on capacity with a strong “boots on the ground” mindset Partner closely with senior stakeholders to provide both operational support and strategic HR input Candidate Profile This role will suit a confident, credible HR leader who enjoys being close to the business and making a tangible impact.

You will bring: Proven HR leadership experience with strong people management and coaching capability A hands‑on, pragmatic approach and the ability to operate in lean environments Broad HR generalist experience (rather than a highly specialised background) Experience within SME or mid‑sized organisations, ideally where HR functions have been built or scaled A problem‑solving mindset, with the ability to improve outcomes rather than operate transactionally Highly desirable experience includes: Exposure to private equity–backed environments HRIS experience (Paycom currently used, though system‑specific experience is not required) Some compensation and benefits exposure Manufacturing or distribution experience (helpful but not essential) International exposure, particularly UK experience; Canada exposure is a bonus Apply now for a confidential conversation with Walker Lovell
