Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to oversee end-to-end human resource functions at our water plant / manufacturing unit. The role involves managing plant HR operations, industrial relations, compliance, recruitment, and workforce engagement, ensuring smooth functioning of manpower in a factory environment. Key Responsibilities Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning Manage end-to-end recruitment for plant roles (operators, technicians, supervisors, staff) Plan and maintain optimum manpower levels as per production requirements Coordinate with department heads for workforce planning and budgeting Plant HR Operations Oversee attendance, shift management, payroll inputs, and leave management Ensure smooth HR operations for blue-collar and white-collar workforce Maintain employee records and HR documentation Statutory Compliance & Labour Laws Ensure compliance with Factories Act, Labour Laws, PF, ESIC, Bonus, Gratuity Handle statutory registers, returns, and audits Liaise with government authorities and inspectors Industrial Relations (IR) Maintain healthy industrial relations and manage union interactions (if applicable) Handle grievance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution Ensure adherence to company policies and code of conduct Performance Management & Engagement Implement performance appraisal systems for plant employees Drive employee engagement, welfare activities, and retention initiatives Conduct training programs on safety, compliance, and skill development Health, Safety & Environment (HSE Support) Support implementation of safety policies and procedures Promote a culture of workplace safety and compliance Coordinate training on health & safety standards Key Requirements MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent 6โ10 years of HR experience in manufacturing / plant setup (water plant preferred) Strong knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliance Experience in handling blue-collar workforce and industrial relations Proficiency in HRMS, payroll systems, and MS Excel Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Preferred Skills Experience in water treatment / FMCG / bottling plant Exposure to factory audits and compliance inspections Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Employee retention & attrition rate Compliance adherence (zero penalties) Hiring turnaround time Employee engagement score Grievance resolution time .
