Hotel Senior Sales Manager
Ash
Job Description
The Opportunity Weβre searching for a Senior Sales Manager. In this role, you'll join the Ash commercial team with real ownership over group revenue at the hotel, from day one. You'll shape how this property shows up in the market, attract clients, build relationships, and help form what kind of destination we become.
It's a rare opportunity for someone who prefers building things rather than maintaining them. What You'll Do This is a full-time, exempt position. Build the property group sales foundation from the ground up: pipeline, key accounts, and a revenue strategy that works before the doors open.
Help establish pre-opening sales infrastructure, account templates, segment strategies, and the groundwork for how this property goes to market. Prospect and develop new business across Corporate, SMERF, Association, Nonprofit, and social segments through outbound calls, meetings, site visits, and trade shows. Deliver a highly personalized, consultative sales approach, tailoring each proposal to reflect the unique needs and expectations of our clientele.
Serve as a brand ambassador, articulating the story, design, and experiential elements of the property in a compelling manner. Take genuine ownership of client relationships; from first introduction through repeat bookings, with a level of care that keeps people coming back. Manage the full group sales cycle: lead generation, proposals, contract negotiation, BEO coordination, and rebooking.
Work closely with F&B, Operations, and Revenue Management to make sure every group and event runs well and every guest leaves with something to talk about. Represent the property at industry events, site tours, and client entertainment; with the ease of someone who genuinely believes in what they're selling. Keep clean, current records of all sales activity and client interactions in Tripleseat, Mews, and related systems.
Hit revenue goals consistently and contribute to weekly and monthly forecasting with clear, honest reporting. What We're Looking For EXPERIENCE 3β5 years in hotel group sales; independent or boutique property background a strong plus. Familiarity with the LA/SoCal market is genuinely useful here.
OPENING EXPERIENCE Time spent on a pre-opening or ramp-up team is a real differentiator. Comfort with ambiguity and a preference for building over maintaining. CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS A track record of long-term client relationships that go beyond the transaction.
An existing book of business in relevant segments is welcome. RESULTS ORIENTATION Consistent performance against revenue targets with the judgment to know when to push and when to listen. Strong negotiation instincts, applied thoughtfully.
COMMUNICATION Clear, confident communicator in writing and in person. You are equally effective drafting a proposal or presenting to a new client for the first time. TECH & SYSTEMS Comfortable in Tripleseat and Mews is a plus.
