\nThe EQ Hotel is seeking an experienced and inspiring Hotel Manager to join our Executive Leadership Team ahead of the opening of Perth's newest luxury hotel.
\nThis is a unique opportunity to lead the hotel's day-to-day operations from pre-opening through to ongoing operations, establishing exceptional service standards, operational excellence, and a high-performing culture that delivers memorable guest experiences.
About the Role\nAs Hotel Manager, you will lead the hotel's day-to-day operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, strong financial performance, and operational excellence across all departments.
\nWorking closely with the General Manager and ownership, you will oversee Rooms Division, Food & Beverage, Engineering, Guest Services, Housekeeping, and back‑of‑house operations, driving service excellence, team performance, and commercial outcomes.
\nAs a key member of the pre‑opening Executive Leadership Team, you will lead operational planning, department readiness, recruitment, service standards, training, and opening readiness before transitioning into ongoing hotel operations.
\nThis is a hands‑on leadership role within a luxury hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities Pre‑Opening\nLead operational planning and readiness activities across all hotel departments
\nSupport recruitment, onboarding, and development of department leaders and operational teams
\nEstablish service standards, SOPs, and operational procedures
\nCoordinate mock service runs, operational testing, and opening readiness
\nEmbed a luxury service culture from day one
Hotel Operations\nLead the day-to-day operations of the hotel across Rooms, Food & Beverage, Engineering, Housekeeping, Front Office, and Guest Services
\nEnsure exceptional guest experiences through consistent service delivery and operational excellence
\nMonitor operational performance and implement continuous improvements
\nMaintain a visible leadership presence throughout the hotel
Guest Experience\nChampion a guest‑first culture that exceeds expectations
\nLead service recovery and ensure guest concerns are resolved professionally and promptly
\nMonitor guest satisfaction results and drive ongoing improvements
\nWork closely with department leaders to deliver seamless guest experiences
Commercial Performance\nSupport the development and delivery of the hotel's business plan and operating budget
\nDrive revenue, profitability, productivity, and labour management across all departments
\nMonitor operational KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement
\nBalance commercial outcomes while maintaining luxury service standards
Leadership & Culture\nInspire, coach, and develop department leaders and their teams
\nFoster a collaborative, positive, and high‑performing workplace culture
\nSupport recruitment, succession planning, performance management, and employee engagement
\nPromote accountability, teamwork, and continuous development
Compliance & Risk\nEnsure compliance with WHS legislation, hotel policies, and operational standards
\nSupport emergency preparedness, incident management, and risk mitigation
\nMaintain compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
About You\nA minimum 5-7 years' experience in a senior hotel operations leadership role (Hotel Manager, Operations Manager, or similar) within an upper‑upscale or luxury hotel
\nProven experience leading multi‑department hotel operations across Rooms and Food & Beverage
\nPrevious pre‑opening hotel experience will be highly regarded
\nStrong commercial and financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, labour management, and cost control
\nDemonstrated success building high‑performing teams and leading operational excellence
\nStrong understanding of Australian workplace legislation, WHS requirements, and hospitality awards
\nRelevant qualifications in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related discipline are preferred
\nExceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
