Job Title: Hotel & Guest Services Manager Employer: Russell Falls Holiday Cottages Location: National Park, Tasmania Employment Type: Full time, ongoing Salary: $76,515 - $85,000 per annum (based on AMSR and experience) Hours: 38 hours per week
About Us Russell Falls Holiday Cottages is a family run accommodation business located in National Park, Tasmania. We provide high quality guest experiences for domestic and international visitors, with a strong focus on Tasmanian hospitality and local products.
About the Role We are seeking an experienced Hotel & Guest Services Manager to oversee daily accommodation operations, guest services, staff supervision, reservations, and quality standards. The role requires strong leadership, customer service excellence, and the ability to manage a small team in a busy tourism environment.
Key Duties
Manage daily accommodation operations and guest services
Oversee front of house activities including check in, check out, and reservations
Supervise and train staff to maintain high service standards
Handle guest enquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally
Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements
Coordinate housekeeping schedules and property presentation
Maintain records, reporting, and operational procedures
Assist with marketing, promotions, and guest experience improvements
Food and beverage services
Skills & Experience Required
Minimum 1 year full time experience in hotel, motel, or guest services management
Strong leadership and staff supervision skills
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Experience with reservation systems and front office operations
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Relevant qualification in hospitality or management (preferred but not mandatory)
Food handling certificate
