Highway Maintenance Engineer / Project Supervisor – Doncaster – £45ph Umbrella An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a growing highways team following increased capital investment in preventative highway maintenance programmes. We are seeking an experienced Highway Maintenance Engineer / Project Supervisor with strong civil engineering knowledge and hands-on experience in preventative treatments including surface dressing, micro-asphalt, and slurry surfacing. Key Responsibilities Manage multiple concurrent highway maintenance schemes Supervise Clerks of Works and oversee contractors on site Ensure specification compliance, quality standards, and programme delivery Make sound engineering decisions relating to highways maintenance works Coordinate preventative maintenance activities across live projects Essential Experience Preventative highway maintenance experience (surface dressing, micro-asphalt, slurry surfacing) Strong civil engineering and contractor management background Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Experience overseeing quality and specification adherence Desirable Level 3 Civil Engineering qualification or equivalent experience Local authority/highways maintenance background GIS familiarity and standard IT skills Location: Doncaster Rate: £45 per hour Umbrella We can only consider applications from those eligible to work in the UK for this position.
