We are seeking a Part-Time, High School French Teacher for the 2026/2027 school year to inspire students in their language learning journey. *Responsibilities*

* Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating innovative learning technology and instructional design techniques. * Deliver engaging French language instruction that emphasizes speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, utilizing effective classroom management strategies. * Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing and project-based assessments. * Foster an inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learning needs, including literacy education and special education accommodations. * Mentor students in their language development, providing individualized tutoring and academic advising as needed. * Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary lessons that integrate linguistics, creative writing, and cultural studies. * Maintain detailed records of student performance, attendance, and behavior management efforts to ensure continuous improvement.

*Qualifications*

* Bachelor’s degree in French, Education, Linguistics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. * Proven classroom experience teaching high school students, with a strong understanding of classroom management techniques. * Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, instructional design, and assessment strategies for language education. * Knowledge of learning technology tools and digital resources to enhance instruction and student engagement. * Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff. * Ability to adapt teaching methods for diverse learners and manage classroom behavior effectively. xhmxlyz * An evangelical Christian commitment and lifestyle consistent with the school's mission, including a signed agreement with WCHS Statement of Faith.
