This pivotal role is focused on resetting the sales strategy and is not a maintenance position, but rather a true build-and-lead opportunity. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving new business development, particularly in the mid-market and enterprise sectors, and will operate as a player/coach, leading a lean sales team while also personally engaging in sales activities. Key responsibilities include owning and improving the sales process, from pipeline management to forecasting, and establishing a clear path for growth in partnership with the CEO. The role demands a hands-on, operationally strong leader with a proven track record in B2B sales, particularly in the context of complex, high-value solutions. Applicants for the Head of Sales position at the company should have a minimum of 7-10 years' B2B sales experience, with a focus on outbound sales, and 3-5 years' experience in leading and developing sales teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong executive presence, be adept at building credibility with senior buyers, and be comfortable working in a hands-on, operationally focused capacity. The role requires a professional with a proven ability to meet and exceed sales quotas, as well as the skills to install and manage repeatable sales processes. A background in selling complex, high-value solutions, such as research, data, advisory, consulting, or tech-enabled services, is essential.
