Inspire Resourcing are recruiting a Head of Sales and Business Development, on behalf of our client based in Dinnington.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of Area Sales Managers, creating a high-performing and collaborative sales culture.
• Set sales objectives and monitor individual and team performance against agreed KPIs.
• Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve business objectives.
• Support the team with customer negotiations, commercial proposals and complex sales opportunities.
• Identify opportunities to increase sales within existing accounts while supporting the generation of new business.
• Analyse sales performance, forecasts and pipeline activity, providing regular reports to senior management.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure customers receive an exceptional experience from enquiry through to delivery.
• Review market trends, customer feedback and competitor activity to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Ensure CRM systems and sales reporting are maintained accurately and effectively.
• Drive continuous improvement within the sales function through coaching, process development and performance management.

Requirements

• Previous experience managing a sales team within a manufacturing, engineering, technical or B2B environment.
• A proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
• Strong leadership and people development skills.
• Experience managing sales performance, forecasting and reporting.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• A strategic and commercially focused mindset.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
• The confidence to influence stakeholders at all levels of the business.
