Director Corporate Development & Strategic Initiatives High-Growth Fintech SaaS $220,000 - $400,000 base + bonus/equity A high-growth Fintech SaaS company at the forefront of commerce technology, trusted by global enterprises across hospitality, retail, and beyond. They're building the infrastructure that powers modern payments — and now looking for a sharp, entrepreneurial deal-maker to drive the next phase of inorganic growth. 4–7 years of experience at a top-tier Investment Bank (M&A or Tech group), Private Equity firm, or high-growth Corporate Development team ~ Elite financial modeling skills — LBO, DCF, Accretion/Dilution, and SaaS-specific unit economics ~ Genuine fluency in the Fintech and B2B SaaS landscape, including payment rails and the evolving impact of Generative AI ~ The executive presence to hold their own in a boardroom alongside veteran bankers, legal counsel, and senior leadership As Director of Corporate Development & Strategic Initiatives, you will report directly to the CEO and serve as the primary internal lead for M&A activity. Long-term, you will be the architect of our inorganic growth strategy: identifying target sectors, cultivating proprietary deal flow, and translating market intelligence into board-level decisions.
Lead M&A execution as the primary internal deal lead, managing workflows with bulge bracket or elite boutique bankers, legal counsel, and due diligence teams Build and own complex financial models (LBO, DCF, Accretion/Dilution, SaaS unit economics) to evaluate acquisition targets and partnership structures Evaluate targets through a SaaS metrics lens — Rule of 40, Net Revenue Retention, CAC Payback — and translate findings into actionable executive strategy Distill complex analyses into crisp, board-ready materials that tell a clear and compelling story to leadership and investors 4–7 years in M&A investment banking, private equity, or corporate development at a high-growth technology company ~ MBA or relevant finance certification a plus, but track record and deal experience take precedence
