Job Description

Head of Marketing / Marketing Lead
*(Title commensurate with experience)*

Location:
San Francisco, In-person
Type:
Full-time

Background

The insurance brokerage industry brings in over $400 billion in revenue annually, yet over $130 billion of that is wasted on repetitive, manual processes: reading millions of pages, inputting data into legacy systems, and filing paperwork.

Who We Are

Coverflow helps insurance brokers automate their most challenging workflows. Our AI platform integrates with client data systems to analyze millions of data points, enabling brokerages to work more efficiently and deliver deeper insights, giving them back thousands of hours annually.

Trusted by leading regional and national agencies, we ingest thousands of policies weekly and have processed over $5B in premium flow through our platform. Backed by AIX Ventures, Founder Collective, and Afore Capital, we've achieved >15x revenue growth since launching in 2025.

The Role

We\'re looking for a marketing leader to build and own our marketing function from the ground up. This is an individual contributor role initially, you\'ll be hands-on across content, product marketing, collateral, PR, and events, with the mandate to grow a team as the function scales. You\'ll be a great fit if you\'ve operated as a generalist before, are comfortable being the only marketing person in the room, and want to shape how a category-defining company in insurtech tells its story.

We\'re open to candidates at different levels of seniority; the title will reflect the experience and scope you bring.

This isn\'t a brand-for-brand\'s-sake role. While you won\'t carry a quota, you\'ll be accountable to tangible output, MQLs, pipeline influence, and event-driven meetings booked, not just content shipped or campaigns launched.

What will you be doing?

  • Own marketing end-to-end: content strategy, product marketing, sales collateral, PR, and event strategy.
  • Drive and report on MQLs and pipeline-influencing metrics, treating marketing output as accountable to real business results, not just activity.
  • Build the narrative and positioning that defines how Coverflow shows up in a legacy, relationship-driven industry.
  • Plan and execute Coverflow\'s presence at industry conferences and events, from strategy to on-the-ground execution.
  • Partner closely with sales and customer success to arm the team with case studies, one-pagers, and proof points that convert.
  • Develop and manage relationships with press, industry publications, and partners to build Coverflow\'s public profile.
  • Create the foundational marketing infrastructure (brand guidelines, content calendars, campaign playbooks) that a future team will build on.
  • Work directly with the CEO and COO to align marketing strategy with company-wide GTM priorities.

Key Requirements

  • 3-8+ years of B2B marketing experience, ideally at an enterprise B2B SaaS company.
  • Demonstrated ownership across multiple marketing disciplines: content, product marketing, collateral, and events, rather than a narrow specialist background.
  • Comfortable operating in an early-stage environment (seed to Series A) where you\'re building process, not just executing against one.
  • Strong writer and communicator who can translate complex, technical value into clear, credible messaging for a non-technical, relationship-driven buyer.
  • A track record of planning and running high-impact events or conference strategies.
  • Bias toward action: willing to be in the weeds early, with the ambition to build and lead a team over time.

Compensation

  • Base: Commensurate with experience and title
  • Generous equity package
  • Health, dental, vision, 401k
  • Team lunches & snacks, transportation stipend, team off-sites, etc.
  • In-person in San Francisco

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
