Your mission


The Financial Head will lead the local financial, accounting, tax, treasury, and regulatory reporting operations for the Brazilian entity. This role is responsible for ensuring strict compliance with the Central Bank of Brazil (BACEN) and Receita Federal, driving financial strategy, optimizing cash flow and safeguards, overseeing outsourced partners, and supporting product innovation.


Responsibilities


  • Lead end-to-end financial, accounting (COSIF), tax (EFD/e-CAC), and regulatory reporting (CADOCs, E-Financial) for an authorized Payment Institution (IP).
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with BACEN regulatory requirements, deadline controls, official queries, and licensing obligations.
  • Oversee BACEN’s JD Pilot / Bank Cabin (DreX) environment, including cockpit operations, message monitoring, certifications, and regulatory evidence.
  • Direct daily treasury operations, cash flow forecasting (including 6-month projections), liquidity monitoring, and client fund safeguard controls (reserve account, CCME).
  • Supervise FX operations, cross-border flows, capital conversions, and digital asset/crypto financial structures. Manage outsourced accounting and tax partners (Ignis) while leading external audit engagements (Russell Bedford).
  • Drive commercial finance, unit economics, product/customer profitability, transaction cost studies, and annual budgeting in alignment with global HQ.
  • Support financial system implementations, including Treasury Management Systems (TMS), automated reconciliations, TMT, and PIX operational enhancements.


Required Skills


  • Proven financial leadership experience within an authorized Payment Institution (IP) or regulated Financial Institution in Brazil.
  • Deep technical knowledge of COSIF accounting, CADOC filings, E-Financial, and Receita Federal requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with Bank Cabin / JD Pilot (DreX) environment management, message monitoring, and digital asset/crypto operations.
  • Strong background in treasury management, client fund segregation (safeguards), FX operations, and SWIFT.
  • Proven track record managing third-party providers (Ignis) and external auditors (Russell Bedford). Established network with local partner banks, acquirers, FX desks, payment partners, and tech suppliers.
  • Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, financial controls, and Jira.
  • Fluency in English (required) and Spanish (desirable).
