Job Title: Head of Engineering Location: Noida (Onsite) Employment Type: Full-Time with our Customer Reporting To: CEO Salary Range- Upto 80 LPA+ Equity , some flexibility for right candidate About the Company We are building a next-generation agentic commerce platform that ensures product and marketing content remains optimized and ready across all digital touchpoints—marketplaces, retailer platforms, and emerging AI-driven channels. Our platform enables brands and retailers to automate content ingestion, enrichment, validation, and distribution—helping them go live faster, reduce manual effort, and improve conversion rates. Powered by modern cloud architecture and AI capabilities (including LLMs, retrieval systems, and microservices), we support large-scale workflows such as onboarding, taxonomy management, content generation, localization, and compliance. We are strengthening our engineering leadership presence in India and establishing a strong, collaborative, on-site team in Noida. Role Summary We are looking for a hands-on Head of Engineering (India) who brings deep full-stack expertise, experience building AI-powered systems, and strong knowledge of cloud and DevOps practices. This is a high-impact leadership role where you will actively contribute to coding, drive architectural decisions, enforce engineering best practices, and lead a growing team. Beyond team management, you will act as the core engineering leader , working closely with the founder and global leadership team to enhance execution, improve platform quality, and scale engineering operations. This role requires on-site leadership in Noida , with responsibility for building and expanding a co-located engineering team (expected to grow to ~15 engineers across full-stack, AI, and platform functions). First 90 days focus: Stabilizing the platform by improving code quality, strengthening architecture, and ensuring consistent release cycles.

Key Responsibilities Engineering Leadership Own day-to-day engineering execution across product, AI, and platform teams Drive delivery timelines, release processes, and overall accountability Establish high standards for code quality, reviews, and development practices Lead sprint planning, architecture decisions, and execution strategy Define coding standards, documentation practices, and “definition of done” Mentor engineers and continuously raise the technical bar Build a strong engineering culture focused on ownership, quality, and speed Collaborate closely with founders, product, design, and global teams Hire and develop engineering talent as the team scales Architecture & Hands-on Development Contribute directly to system design and critical implementations Develop and enhance core platform features (PIM system using Symfony / PHP) Build microservices and AI pipelines using Python (FastAPI) Support frontend systems using React and TypeScript Improve APIs, schemas, and data architecture Make practical technical decisions balancing scalability, speed, and maintainability AI & Intelligent Systems Integrate and manage LLMs and AI services across the platform Build intelligent workflows for product enrichment, taxonomy, media generation, and automation Work with embeddings, vector databases, and retrieval systems Optimize AI systems for performance, cost, and scalability Cloud, DevOps & Reliability Manage cloud infrastructure on GCP (Cloud Run, VMs, storage, etc.) Oversee CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and deployment workflows Improve containerization, system performance, and release automation Monitor system health, logs, uptime, and cost efficiency Ensure production reliability and operational readiness Lead incident management and continuous improvement initiatives Quality & Engineering Excellence Define testing strategies, observability, and release standards Ensure security best practices across systems and environments Improve platform reliability across staging and production Build scalable processes that enable consistent execution Required Qualifications Experience 10–14+ years in software engineering with strong leadership experience Proven track record of leading engineering teams while remaining hands-on Experience owning delivery and technical direction in a product/startup environment Technical Skills Strong full-stack expertise: Python (FastAPI, microservices) PHP (Symfony preferred) React & TypeScript Experience building AI-driven applications (LLMs, orchestration, retrieval systems) Strong exposure to GCP (Cloud Run, Compute, Storage, IAM, etc.) Expertise in Docker, Linux, and CI/CD pipelines Solid database and API design experience (MySQL/PostgreSQL) Strong system design and architecture capabilities Leadership & Soft Skills Experience mentoring engineers and enforcing engineering discipline Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Comfortable working directly with founders and global teams High ownership mindset with a bias for action Good to Have Experience with PIM, DAM, or catalog management platforms Background in ecommerce, retail tech, or marketplace integrations Exposure to multi-agent AI systems Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, or infrastructure-as-code Familiarity with media processing (image/video pipelines) Experience building or scaling India-based engineering teams Why Join Us Opportunity to build core systems in an AI-first startup Lead and shape the India engineering organization from the ground up Work closely with the founding team on key technical decisions Build a strong engineering culture with real ownership Play a critical role in the company’s growth journey Competitive compensation with potential equity participation Culture & Values We are building a collaborative, inclusive, and mission-driven environment that values innovation, respect, and diverse perspectives.
