Head of Engineering/Engineering Manager (FMCG / Food Manufacturing) Salary: 90,000 + Benefits + Bonus + Senior Management Opportunity About the Business: This company are a leading name in the food manufacturing industry. We are looking for a dynamic Head of Engineering to lead their engineering team and drive strategic initiatives at their site in Newport. The Role: As the Head of Engineering, you will be at the forefront of their engineering operations, ensuring the smooth running of the site.
This role is perfect for a seasoned engineering professional with a strong technical background and leadership experience. You will oversee a team of 50 engineers, manage the PPM schedules & CAPEX plan, and work closely with operations and new product development to align factory capabilities with their innovative product offerings. Key Responsibilities: Lead and develop the engineering strategy, focusing on proactive rather than reactive measures.
Oversee effective Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules. Collaborate with operations and NPD teams to introduce new products. Manage the CAPEX plan for the site.
Ensure the smooth operation of typical FMCG machinery, including conveyors and fabrication facilities. What We’re Looking For: Senior Leadership Team or Head of Engineering Experience within a similar manufacturing environment. Strong background leading engineering strategy and CAPEX Strong technical background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Proven leadership skills with experience managing engineering teams. Comfortable with fabrication and buildings maintenance. Ideally, experience within a similar-sized business or operation within FMCG or Food Manufacturing.
