Head of Business Development Excellence

Experteer Overview As the Business Development Excellence Director, you will lead a group-wide approach to advancing Culina's BD capabilities. You'll standardise processes, drive market intelligence, and shape pricing and segmentation to enable sustainable growth. You'll oversee bid management and capability-building, ensuring high-quality proposals and governance.

You will work across teams to foster a customer-centric, growth-focused BD culture and deliver transformation for the group. Pay / Benefits

• Develop, maintain and standardise BD enablement materials and core sales tools Create and maintain the BD Excellence knowledge base and ensure accuracy Embed standardised methodologies and best practices across BD teams Design and roll out training programmes to build BD capability Lead industry trend analysis and customer insights to inform priorities Oversee annual customer segmentation and identify growth opportunities Define segmentation frameworks and lead scoring for pipeline management Set pricing and policy guidelines to support informed decision-making Provide standardised business cases and approval templates to improve governance Lead the Group's BD strategy, identify growth opportunities, and challenge BU strategies Lead and develop a bid management team for large-scale tender activity Drive BD capability assessment, skills mapping, and structured training and coaching Facilitate knowledge sharing and BD community engagement Tasks Significant experience in sales operations or enablement Deep understanding of end-to-end sales processes and bid management for RFI/RFQ Strong analytical and research capability Excellent project and programme management skills in supporting the bid process Familiarity with the UK logistics market
