About the Job you are considering:
We are seeking an experienced Guidewire Business Analyst with 10+ years of experience in IT Consulting and the Insurance domain. The ideal candidate will be a strong Functional SME with deep expertise in Guidewire InsuranceSuite, including PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter, and a solid understanding of London Market Insurance.

The role requires expertise in business analysis, requirements management, stakeholder engagement, release planning, and end-to-end delivery support. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, development teams, and QA teams to deliver business-critical transformation initiatives.

Hybrid working:

The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your Role:

Business Analysis & Requirements Management

  • Lead requirements gathering workshops, stakeholder interviews, and discovery sessions.
  • Analyze business processes and translate business requirements into functional specifications.
  • Document user stories, business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
  • Facilitate requirements prioritization and backlog grooming activities.

Functional Consulting & Solution Design

  • Act as the Functional SME for Guidewire InsuranceSuite applications including PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter.
  • Drive functional solution design sessions and collaborate with technical teams to define target-state solutions.
  • Review business requirements and ensure alignment with Guidewire best practices.
  • Support impact assessments and gap analysis for enhancement and transformation initiatives.

Delivery & Release Management

  • Support project planning, estimation, release planning, and scope management activities.
  • Coordinate with business and technology teams to ensure successful delivery of project milestones.
  • Manage UAT planning, execution support, defect triage, and business sign-off processes.
  • Track dependencies, risks, assumptions, and issues throughout the project lifecycle.


Your Skills:

Essential

  • 10+ years of experience in IT Consulting, Business Analysis, or Insurance Technology.
  • Strong functional experience with:
    • Guidewire PolicyCenter
    • Guidewire BillingCenter
    • Guidewire ClaimCenter
  • Experience working as a Guidewire Functional SME in large-scale insurance transformation programs.
  • Deep understanding of London Market Insurance and Specialty/Commercial Lines business processes.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Underwriting
    • Policy Administration
    • Claims Management
    • Billing & Collections
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
  • Proven expertise in requirements gathering, solution workshops, business process analysis, and release planning.
  • Experience managing UAT cycles and business sign-off activities.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.

Desirable

  • Guidewire Certification (Business Analyst or relevant InsuranceSuite certification).
  • Exposure to Guidewire Cloud implementations.
  • Experience working with Lloyd's Market processes and regulatory environments.
  • Knowledge of insurance product lifecycle management and policy administration systems.
  • Experience supporting multi-vendor and globally distributed delivery teams.
