Graduate Accountant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Accountant / Graduate Accountant to join a close-knit finance team within an ASX-listed business. This is a newly created position and is well suited to someone who has recently completed (or is nearing completion of) their accounting degree and is looking to commence their CPA or CA studies.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of month-end journals, including accruals and prepayments
• End-of-month (EOM) close processes and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assisting with monthly management reports for senior stakeholders
• Support with tax and treasury functions, including monthly BAS obligations and weekly cash flow forecasting
• Supporting the wider finance team with day-to-day accounting tasks

You're someone who takes pride in getting the detail right, even when juggling more than one deadline at a time. You thrive in a small team setting, enjoy learning from more experienced colleagues, and bring a positive, proactive attitude to your work.

On the practical side, you'll have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline — either recently completed or close to it
• A clear intention to pursue your CPA or CA qualification
• Solid communication skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset
• Willingness to develop your long-term career with the business
