Location: Ludwigshafen am Rhein, Germany (Hybrid: 1–2 days remote/week)
Salary Range: €71,000 – €79,000 gross / year

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management & Steering: Take full ownership of planning and steering major traffic infrastructure components for a high-profile urban road development project.
  • Mobility Concepts: Develop and implement measures to ensure smooth citywide mobility, utilizing structured multi-zone traffic concepts.
  • Owner's Representative Role: Prepare, coordinate, and oversee construction activities directly on behalf of the client/public authority.
  • Service & Contract Review: Verify, approve, and settle engineering service contracts (HOAI) while managing and documenting the use of public funding and subsidies.
  • Permitting: Obtain and manage all necessary official permits and regulatory approvals.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Define milestones, track project schedules and budgets, and deliver concise status reports to key stakeholders.

Candidate Profile

  • Education: Bachelor's, Master's, or Diploma degree in Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering, or a related field with a focus on road construction and traffic planning.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of professional experience in planning and executing road and traffic infrastructure projects.
  • Technical Skills: Sound knowledge of relevant technical standards, regulatory frameworks, and project management methodologies. Proven ability to optimize traffic flows.
  • Nice-to-Have: Interest or experience in Environment-Sensitive Traffic Management (UVM).
  • Language: Professional fluency in German (minimum C1 level; C2/native preferred).
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication and negotiation skills, solution-oriented mindset, accountability, and a collaborative spirit.
