Job Description Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Geotechnical Engineer/Civil Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to work with a team of engineers, supporting various major geotechnical and geo‑environmental projects including investigation, design and construction projects. What You'll Be Doing Perform and/or coordinate a variety of geotechnical/civil engineering tasks to complete designs for a variety of projects, including remediation and infrastructure projects such as cutoff walls, mines, landfills, bridge foundation, roadway design, retaining walls, excavations, and solidification.

Write design reports and memos. Assist in developing design drawings and writing technical specifications. Perform and/or coordinate engineering calculations, such as slope stability, settlement and finite element analysis.

Develop and/or coordinate field investigation programs. Complete investigation and construction field assignments (as needed). Coordinate laboratory testing programs and analyze and interpret laboratory test results.

Review boring logs and develop subsurface soil profiles. Work effectively and collaboratively with project team. Manage tasks and obtain the necessary management skills to grow into a project manager / technical lead position.

Willingness and ability to travel for project work, including to remote mine sites in the U.S. and Canada. Candidate must also implement behavior‑based safety tools to achieve incident‑free operations (no personal injuries, property damage or environmental releases) for both client and Parsons. What Required Skills You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferably with a specialization or strong focus in Geotechnical Engineering.

Master’s degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering is preferred (not required). 5+ years of related work experience in geotechnical, remediation, mining or infrastructure design and construction. Familiarity with CAD is preferred (not required). Familiarity with geotechnical software packages such as Plaxis, RocScience and GeoStudio is preferred (not required).

Proficiency in Microsoft software and various computer software applications. Requires a strong proficiency in both written and oral communication skills. P.

Eng is preferred (not required). This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.
