Job Description
Igne is looking for a Geotechnical Engineer or Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our expanding Ground Investigation Division in Warrington. You'll manage large, complex ground investigation projects and deliver first-class interpretative reports for a diverse client base.
What you'll be doing
- Managing ground investigation projects from planning through to completion
- Collecting, validating, and logging subsurface data including borehole logs, sampling records, and geophysical outputs
- Performing geological interpretation to develop factual logs and ground models
- Preparing technical reports—factual geotechnical logs, laboratory summaries, and interpretative narratives
- Supporting tender preparation with scope input, cost estimates, and technical write-ups
- Coordinating project schedules and resources alongside the Geotechnical Co-ordinator
What we're looking for
- Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
- Experience in contract management of ground investigation projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Full UK driving licence (travel required)
