A well-established multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy delivering geotechnical, environmental, structural, and civil engineering solutions across Australia is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join its Sydney-based team.

With a strong reputation for delivering practical engineering solutions across a diverse range of projects, the company’s geotechnical team works alongside experienced engineers, scientists, and technical specialists to support major developments, infrastructure projects, and ground engineering challenges.

Multiple opportunities are available across junior to senior levels, and engineers with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.

The Role

This position offers a genuine mix of site and office-based work, supporting projects from initial investigation through to technical reporting, design input, and project delivery.

You will be involved across a variety of geotechnical projects, collaborating with clients, contractors, and internal teams to deliver practical and technically sound outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting geotechnical site investigations, including drilling, logging, and field supervision
  • Completing soil and rock classification and assessment
  • Preparing geotechnical reports, assessments, and engineering recommendations
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, and internal project teams
  • Supporting foundation design, ground improvement, and engineering solutions
  • Managing multiple projects concurrently across different stages of delivery

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree qualification in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Experience within a geotechnical consulting or ground engineering environment (mid-level through to senior)
  • Strong understanding of site investigations, ground conditions, and technical reporting
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with clients and site teams
  • The ability to work effectively across both field and office environments
  • Availability to commence immediately or within a suitable timeframe

Project Exposure

You will join a team delivering a diverse portfolio of projects, including:

  • Major residential and commercial developments
  • Infrastructure and urban renewal projects
  • Geotechnical investigations and assessments
  • Foundation and ground engineering solutions
  • Integrated environmental and engineering projects
