Position Details Location: Bishop Stortford Land Rover Contract Type: Permanent Full Time Salary: Up to £80,000 OTE (£50,000 to £55,000 basic plus bonus) Hours: 44 Hours – Mon to Fri 9:00 am to 6:00 pm (with one late finish to 7 pm and a day off midweek), Sat 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sunday 11:00 am to 3:00 pm (rota basis) Job Summary A rare and exciting opportunity has become available at Bishop Stortford Land Rover as a General Sales Manager. The successful candidate will receive an industry leading remuneration package with access to in‑house training.

As Sales Manager you will act as a role model for customer service excellence, always leading by example. You will develop long‑lasting, meaningful relationships with our customers and coach and motivate the team to do the same. You will report into the General Manager.

You will oversee the day‑to‑day running of the showroom including vehicle valuations and sales; supervising the vehicle journey from workshop prep right through to imaging and showroom presentation. You will work alongside the divisional buyer, dedicated prep technicians, detailers and photography team so that you can deliver marketing standards. Responsibilities Managing the full sales process, from web inquiry to phone and showroom Managing staff performance through structured 1‑to‑1s and training & development Implementing department targets and brand KPIs Responsible for buying in vehicles and ensuring up‑to‑date stock pricing Ensuring full FCA compliance within the Sales Department Managing and owning our Customer Satisfaction Qualifications You should have prior experience in a similar premium automotive environment with a proven track record in transactional sales and delivering exceptional customer service experiences.

You should demonstrate experience in leading a highly motivated team and know how to get the best out of each team member. Experience monitoring financial performance against budget and the ability to identify and address any shortfalls promptly is a must. You need the ability to understand finance and insurance product regulations and have excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate a sale.

A full UK driving licence is essential.
