General Practitioner (GP) – Full-Time

Melbourne CBD | (AIMhealth Melbourne Central Medical Centre) | Annual Salary:80,000-100,000 + 12% superannuation

We are a well-established medical centre located in the heart of Melbourne CBD, serving a diverse and multicultural patient community. We are seeking a dedicated General Practitioner to join our team and provide high-quality, patient-centred healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient consultations, examinations, and medical history assessments to diagnose and manage a broad range of health conditions.

  • Order and interpret diagnostic investigations, including pathology tests, imaging, X-rays, and other procedures.

  • Develop and implement treatment plans, prescribe medications, administer therapeutic interventions, and provide ongoing patient care.

  • Monitor patients’ progress and response to treatment, ensuring continuity and quality of care.

  • Provide preventative healthcare advice, including lifestyle, diet, exercise, and disease prevention guidance.

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with professional, legal, and practice requirements.

  • Refer patients to specialists and other healthcare providers where appropriate, and exchange relevant medical information to ensure coordinated care.

  • Arrange hospital admissions and follow-up care when required.

  • Comply with professional, legislative, and public health obligations, including reporting notifiable diseases and other required notifications.

  • Participate in continuing professional development, clinical audits, accreditation activities, and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Work collaboratively with other GPs, nurses, administrative staff, hospitals, and community healthcare providers.

  • Deliver services in a respectful, culturally sensitive, and professional manner while maintaining strict patient confidentiality.

Essential Requirements

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Medical Practitioner (International Medical Graduates are acceptable)

  • Proven experience working as a General Practitioner (or equivalent)

  • Strong clinical, diagnostic, and communication skills.

  • Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centred care.

  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and a multicultural healthcare environment.
