About TBD Izakaya TBD Izakaya is the first modern izakaya in San Francisco built around dry-aged heritage-breed chicken, live-fire binchotan cooking, and a considered sake program. We hold ourselves to a high standard — in sourcing, in service, and in the experience we create for our guests. We’re looking for a General Manager who shares that commitment and wants to help shape what this place becomes.

The Role The General Manager owns the floor. You’ll oversee daily operations, lead and develop the front-of-house team, and work closely with our culinary team to make sure every service reflects the quality and intention behind what we do. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is equally comfortable with a P&L and a pre-shift.

Responsibilities • Lead, schedule, and develop a front-of-house team that delivers warm, knowledgeable, and efficient service • Oversee daily operations including staffing, inventory, and financial reporting • Partner with the kitchen on menu evolution, service flow, and maintaining quality standards • Manage budgets, labor costs, and financial performance against profitability targets • Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements • Build a workplace culture that retains good people and holds a high bar • Handle guest feedback and service recovery with professionalism and care • Support marketing initiatives and contribute to the restaurant’s presence in the community What We’re Looking For • Proven experience as a General Manager or senior FOH leader in a full-service, quality-driven restaurant • Strong operational command — staffing, inventory, cost controls, financial reporting • Fluency with Toast, Restaurant365, and OpenTable • A genuine love for hospitality and Japanese food and beverage culture • Someone who leads by example, communicates clearly, and doesn’t need the drama Compensation & Benefits • Competitive salary with performance-based bonus • Health, dental, and vision insurance • 401(k) • Management dining perks • Real opportunity for growth within the restaurant group More detail about TBD 431 Bush St San Francisco Ca 94108 part of AKIKOS Hospitality, please visit https://culinaryagents.com/entities/1059077-TBD-431-Bush-St-San-Francisco-Ca-94108
