Job Description Job Description Summary A growing commercial plumbing contractor is seeking a General / Branch Manager to lead and oversee the service division. This role is responsible for managing technicians, coordinating daily operations, and ensuring service work is delivered efficiently while maintaining strong customer relationships. This is a hands-on leadership role best suited for someone who has come up through the field and has experience running a service department, not just dispatching or coordinating.

Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day operations of the plumbing service department Manage and support service technicians across repair, maintenance, and installation work Coordinate scheduling with dispatch to ensure efficient routing and workload distribution Monitor technician performance, productivity, and quality of work Conduct training, coaching, and performance reviews for field staff Maintain strong communication with customers, vendors, and internal teams Review work orders, invoices, and job costing to ensure accuracy and profitability Manage department budgets, labor, and overall performance Support service agreement growth and identify new opportunities with existing clients Ensure safety standards and company policies are followed across all service operations Oversee service vehicles, tools, and inventory management Requirements 5+ years of experience in plumbing service management or operations Background as a Service Technician who has moved into leadership preferred Strong understanding of plumbing systems, service workflows, and customer expectations Experience managing technicians and field operations Ability to manage a smaller, tight-knit team environment Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office and service software systems Valid driver’s license with clean record Compensation & Benefits Company vehicle or allowance + gas card Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid holidays and PTO Long-term growth within a stable service division
