Job Description

About This Opportunity General Manager to join our regional office in Arlington, VA. Responsible for maximizing NOI and managing property operations, maintenance, and events for The Crossing Clarendon shopping center and future high‑profile assets. What You’ll Be Doing Execute strategic business plan for assigned asset(s).

Use expertise to drive decisions regarding fiscal and physical performance, including reducing A/R balance, increasing income, growing rents, managing operating expenses, analyzing tenants, preparing budgets, and financial reporting in accordance with NOI objectives. Establish relationships with merchants and restaurants, gathering and analyzing information to maximize sales productivity. Increase consumer traffic velocity, volume, and quality through consumer experience enhancement and repeat traffic promotion.

Maximize cash flow by managing CAM and operating costs, identifying cost‑saving programs, and executing value‑added opportunities. Oversee day‑to‑day functioning of residential rental component via third‑party management. Maintain property physical plant: inspections, bidding contracts, signage approval, improvements through capital expenditures, and safety.

Oversee tenant improvements in accordance with lease, building standards, and local code. Manage capital expenditure projects with construction/tenant improvement teams. Collaborate with development and construction teams on redevelopment projects.

Develop and manage special assets team to ensure production goals, accuracy, and customer service. Establish relationships with local community to advance strategic plan, address tenant complaints, and participate in community/HOA events. Develop and implement marketing plan and oversee marketing events to enhance consumer experience and drive traffic.

Secure and drive new and renewal ancillary income & sponsorship opportunities, collaborating with leasing team on tenant selection and lease renewals. Are You Qualified? Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Marketing or related field.

Real estate license preferred. Member of ICSC and regularly attends local events preferred. 5–8 years property management experience, including supervisory experience. Retail property management experience, including mixed‑use developments (multi‑family, office, medical).

Experience with social media and event management. Quantitative and analytical skills. Knowledge of GAAP, leasing, contracts and industry terminology.

Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, email and internet research. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Working knowledge of JD Edwards or other accounting software preferred.
