We are seeking an experienced and driven General Manager to lead our opening team and set the standard for hospitality, operations, and culture from day one. Position Overview The General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and performance of the restaurant, overseeing all front-of-house, bar, and back-of-house operations. This role requires a hands-on leader who thrives in high-energy environments, builds strong teams, and delivers exceptional guest experiences while maintaining financial discipline.

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Culture Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing management and hourly team Establish a culture rooted in hospitality, accountability, and collaboration Lead by example with a strong floor presence and service-driven mindset Partner closely with ownership, culinary leadership, and beverage teams Operations Oversee all daily operations to ensure seamless and consistent service Develop and implement SOPs for service, training, and operational systems Maintain excellence in all aspects of the guest experience and restaurant environment Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory standards Financial Performance Own and manage the restaurant’s P&L, including labor and cost controls Drive revenue while maintaining strong cost discipline Analyze financial performance and adjust operations to meet targets Oversee inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships Staffing & Development Hire, train, and develop a cohesive team Create schedules aligned with business levels and labor targets Provide coaching, feedback, and performance management Ensure compliance with all California labor laws and workplace policies Guest Experience Maintain a consistent and elevated level of hospitality on the floor Resolve guest concerns with professionalism and urgency Build relationships with guests, regulars, and the local community Monitor and respond to guest feedback across all platforms Food & Beverage Oversight Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Bar Manager on menu execution Ensure quality, consistency, and presentation standards are upheld Support training and education around food, wine, and cocktails Training & Systems Implement structured training programs for all roles Ensure team proficiency in POS, reservations, and reporting systems Maintain accurate reporting, cash handling, and administrative procedures Qualifications 3+ years of experience as a General Manager or senior leader in a high-volume, full-service restaurant Opening experience strongly preferred Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&Ls Deep understanding of hospitality, service standards, and guest engagement Proven ability to hire, train, and retain high-performing teams Knowledge of California labor laws and restaurant compliance requirements Passion for food, beverage, and creating memorable dining experiences Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary (commensurate with experience) Performance-based bonus structure Health, dental, and vision benefits Paid Time Off Dining privileges across company concepts Opportunity to grow within an expanding hospitality group How to Apply Please submit your resume and a brief note about your experience and interest in La Morocha.
