Add a Spark to the Ordinary… As a General Manager at Blank Street, you’ll help bring our brand to life in Los Angeles. You’ll lead one of our first cafés in the market, building a high-performing team, setting the standard for operations, and creating exceptional customer experiences every day. This role is about more than running a café. You’ll help establish Blank Street as part of the local community by leading with hospitality, developing your team, and delivering consistent operational excellence. We’re looking for a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves developing people, and takes pride in creating memorable experiences for both customers and employees. What You’ll Own People Leadership Build a positive, high-performing team culture Recruit, train, coach, and develop café team members Create schedules and manage timecards in compliance with local labor laws Ensure new hires are trained and set up for success Address performance and employee concerns quickly and fairly Support team engagement, growth, and retention Operations & Hospitality Lead by example on the floor and behind bar Deliver exceptional hospitality and consistent product quality Ensure cafés are clean, safe, organized, and operating at a high standard Manage inventory, ordering, waste, and vendor relationships Partner cross-functionally with HQ teams to support launches, initiatives, and operational improvements Business Performance Own café performance, including customer experience and operational standards Build relationships within the local community and neighborhood Review customer feedback and drive continuous improvement Identify opportunities to improve workflows, communication, and team performance Who You Are 4+ years of experience managing teams in hospitality, retail, or food & beverage environments Strong people leader with experience coaching and developing large teams Organized, hands-on, and comfortable in fast-paced environments Passionate about hospitality, coffee, and customer experience Strong communicator with excellent problem-solving skills Comfortable managing multiple priorities and adapting to change Excited to help grow a rapidly scaling brand in Los Angeles Skills & Attributes Customer-first mindset with a passion for hospitality Strong leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills Excellent organization and follow-through Ability to work under pressure and prioritize effectively Collaborative, positive, and action-oriented Interested in continuous learning and personal growth Blank Street will consider qualified applicants with a criminal history pursuant to the California Fair Chance Act.
