General Manager

Coda Restaurant Group (CRG) is seeking a General Manager to lead Baleia , our Portuguese-inspired restaurant in Boston’s Ink Block neighborhood in the South End. About Coda Restaurant Group Founded over twenty years ago, CRG is the team behind some of Boston’s most beloved neighborhood restaurants — SRV, The Salty Pig, Gufo, and Baleia. Each property has a distinct identity, but all share a commitment to quality food and beverage, genuine hospitality, and exceeding guest expectations.

We’re a hands‑on ownership group that believes in empowering our teams while holding high operational standards. About Baleia Baleia is one of Boston’s most distinctive dining experiences — an award‑winning, modern space serving refined Portuguese cuisine in a warm, upscale‑but‑approachable setting. With a thoughtful wine program and a guest experience built around discovery and genuine connection, Baleia attracts diners who appreciate something different.

The right GM will be a champion for this concept and help grow its audience in the city. The Role We’re looking for a hospitality‑driven leader who understands that strong culture, disciplined systems, and financial performance must work together. You’ll have full ownership of the guest experience, team development, and operational execution.

Responsibilities include overseeing all front‑of‑house operations, building and developing a high‑performing service team, driving labor performance and financial accountability, leading HR and payroll management, partnering closely with the Executive Chef, and cultivating the long‑term guest relationships that make a neighborhood restaurant thrive. What We’re Looking For 3+ years of restaurant management experience, strong financial acumen, a proven ability to build and retain great teams, and a genuine passion for hospitality. Experience in full‑service, upscale environments is preferred.
