GA Accountant (German market)

Job DescriptionMy client is looking for a General Accountant who has experience working within European markets but specifically the German market. Role Overview Manage statutory audits, tax computations, and month-end US GAAP reporting for European entities, with a focus on German GAAP (HGB) bridge reconciliations and German pension forecasting. Key Responsibilities Prepare European statutory financial statements and maintain US GAAP to German GAAP (HGB) bridge reconciliations.

Oversee German pension forecasting models and manage month-end processes. Deliver quarterly ASC740 tax computations, US GAAP reporting, and support external tax audits. Liaise directly with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure annual compliance.

Requirements & Qualifications Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) with practical experience in German GAAP (HGB) and US GAAP. Expertise in SOX controls, ERP platforms, and high-volume data reconciliations in Excel. Excellent analytical abilities and clear English communication skills.
