Full-time Teacher Assistant

Northern Gateway Public Schools invites applications for two Full-time (1.0 FTE) Teacher Assistant at Fox Creek School, Fox Creek, AB.

Successful Candidate Responsibilities

• Working with students one-on-one & in small groups in a classroom setting

Teacher Assistants Qualifications

• Educational Assistant Certificate (desirable)
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Early Childhood training and experience (desirable)

Necessary Skills And Knowledge

• Establish rapport and maintain effective working relationships with children, parents and staff
• Work collaboratively and co-operatively with teacher and other educational assistants in the classroom/school
• Understand and carry out oral and written direction
• Work independently with minimal instruction
• Demonstrate effective organizational and communication skills
• Respect confidentiality
• Practice professionalism with all Fox Creek School students, staff, administration, parents and public
• Be aware of NGPS policies and administrative procedures

Hours Of Work

• 32.5 hours per week/6.5 hours per day

Wage Rate

• $20.76/hour - $29.26/hour depending on qualifications and experience
