Job Description

Polysights x.com/polysights polysights.xyz Front-End Developer Full Time In-person in Halifax, Canada Salary: $6500 to $8,000 CAD/monthly, potential equity in the startup About Polysights Polysights is building the intelligence and strategy layer for prediction markets. Polysights is extremely well positioned to capitalize on the explosion of growth the industry has seen over the last year. We do not compete directly with the leading platforms in the ecosystem; we make them more valuable by helping users better understand, analyze, and navigate prediction markets.

We’re still early, which means the pace is fast and the opportunity is significant. This is a startup environment where priorities can change quickly, responsibilities may evolve, and individual contributions have a direct impact on the product. We’re looking for people who thrive in ambiguity, move quickly, use AI thoughtfully to work smarter, and take real ownership over what they build.

If you care about craft, want your work to shape a fast-growing category, and take pride in shipping meaningful products, you’ll do well here. About The Job Front-end developer role focused on implementing polished product designs into our existing front end across desktop and mobile. You will primarily take completed Figma designs from our design team and translate them into clean, responsive, production-ready interfaces using React and TypeScript.

This is not primarily a UX/UI design role. Our designers handle the core product direction, user flows, and visual design. Your main responsibility will be accurately implementing those designs into the product, maintaining consistency across the front end, and helping us ship quickly without sacrificing quality.

Over time, there may be opportunities to contribute your own design ideas and product improvements, but the immediate focus is front-end execution. This role is in-office only. Remote candidates will not be considered.

Responsibilities • Translate Figma designs into responsive, production-ready front-end interfaces using React and TypeScript. • Implement new product screens, dashboards, components, tables, charts, modals, navigation flows, and mobile-responsive layouts. • Work within our existing front-end codebase and extend current product functionality without breaking existing features. • Collaborate with designers to ensure accurate implementation of layouts, spacing, typography, interactions, and visual details. • Build and maintain reusable UI components and scalable front-end architecture. • Connect front-end interfaces to APIs, live data, backend services, and dynamic application states. • Work with loading states, error states, empty states, filters, sorting, pagination, and real-time data flows. • Use AI tools effectively to speed up development, debug issues, refactor code, and improve productivity. • Optimize applications for performance, accessibility, and usability across devices and browsers. • Test, debug, and refine front-end features to ensure a reliable user experience. • Contribute to front-end development standards, component consistency, and implementation workflows. • Implement secure front-end practices and protect against common web vulnerabilities. • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and product implementation planning. • Troubleshoot production issues across browsers, devices, and platforms. • Take ownership of assigned features from implementation through launch and follow-up fixes. Requirements • Strong experience with React and TypeScript. • Good knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and responsive design. • Ability to translate detailed Figma files into polished front-end interfaces. • Strong attention to detail when implementing spacing, typography, layout, responsiveness, and component states. • Experience working with existing front-end codebases. • Experience using AI tools as part of the development workflow is required. • Ability to move quickly while still writing clean, maintainable code. • Comfortable working with APIs, dynamic data, dashboards, tables, charts, and real-time interfaces. • Strong debugging skills across browser issues, layout issues, data issues, and front-end errors. • Comfortable working in a startup environment where priorities can change quickly. • Strong communication skills and the ability to ask clear questions when requirements are incomplete. • Must be able to work in person. Remote candidates will not be considered.

Nice To Have • Experience with prediction markets, trading platforms, crypto, DeFi, fintech, data products, or analytics dashboards. • Experience building complex dashboards with live data, charts, tables, filters, and activity feeds. • Experience with Next.js, Tailwind CSS, Supabase, Vercel, or similar modern front-end tools. • Experience using AI-assisted development tools to build faster and improve code quality. • Ability to contribute light design improvements when needed, even though core UX/UI design is handled by our design team. • Interest in prediction markets, financial data, trading interfaces, or market intelligence products. Startup Environment Polysights is an early-stage startup. This means the role may evolve as the company grows.

You may occasionally work on tasks outside of a narrow front-end job description when it helps the product move faster. We value people who are adaptable, practical, and comfortable solving problems without waiting for perfect instructions. The right person should be excited by the chance to have meaningful impact, not discouraged by the uncertainty that comes with building at an early stage.

Compensation And Growth Compensation will be based on experience, skill level, and overall fit. For the right candidate, there may be an opportunity to receive equity or equity-based compensation in the future, based on performance, long-term commitment, and contribution to the company. As Polysights grows, this role has the potential to expand in scope, responsibility, and ownership.

Strong performers may have the opportunity to take on larger product areas, influence front-end standards, and grow into more senior technical roles over time. How to Apply Please send your resume and portfolio to , or apply directly through LinkedIn. A portfolio or examples of prior front-end work are required.

We need to review previous projects, shipped interfaces, or relevant implementation work before considering applicants for the role.
