Frontend Developer Job Description We are hiring a frontend developer who can take ownership, move fast, and ship clean production-ready work without constant supervision. This role is for someone who knows how to build with Next.js and Tailwind CSS, has experience working on both websites and web apps, and understands how to use modern agentic coding workflows properly. Speed matters, but not at the cost of quality.

We are not looking for someone who depends on AI to do basic engineering work for them. We are looking for an actual engineer who can think, build, debug, communicate, and deliver. Role Overview You will be responsible for frontend development work end to end.

This is not a support role where someone else carries the quality, thinking, or delivery. We expect the person in this role to take full ownership of assigned frontend work and deliver it in a state that is usable, stable, responsive, and ready for release. You should be able to turn designs into code exactly, handle edge cases, maintain code quality, and clearly communicate progress to both technical and non-technical people.

Core Requirements Strong working experience with Next.js Strong working experience with Tailwind CSS Experience building both websites and web applications Must provide live links to hosted work as proof of ability Live production apps or websites with real users are strongly preferred over demo projects Must know how to use agentic coding workflows to build faster without compromising quality Must still be capable of engineering independently without relying on agents for everything Must write clean, maintainable, scalable code Must understand coding best practices and production discipline Must know how to use Git properly Must be able to replicate Figma designs exactly with pixel-perfect accuracy Must be able to make designs responsive even if mobile designs are not provided Must have good design taste Must have reliable internet Must be comfortable communicating through Discord Engineering Standards The following are non-negotiable: Messy, unscalable code is unacceptable Long files with code dumps are unacceptable Poor production practices are unacceptable Environment variables and production configuration must be handled properly Error states must be handled properly Work must be responsive and stable Work must follow design guidelines accurately Work cannot be submitted in an incomplete or fragile state If something breaks with a few clicks, it is not ready If something cannot reasonably be released to the public, it is not ready What We Care About Most1. Deadlines cannot be missed We understand the speed at which frontend projects can move with modern agentic workflows. Deadlines will be reasonable and achievable.

Once committed, they are expected to be met. Missed deadlines create backlogs and break operations. That is not acceptable. 2.

Sloppy work is unacceptable Some work needs to be done fast. Some work needs to be done with extreme precision. Expectations will be informed clearly, but either way the work must be done properly.

Do not submit work that is unfinished, unstable, not responsive, inconsistent with the design, or missing obvious edge cases and error handling. 3. Poor communication is a deal breaker You must be able to explain: what you are doing why you are doing it what the current status is what the next steps are You must be able to communicate clearly with non-technical people as well. Timely updates matter.

Vague communication, disappearing, or being unable to explain your own work is not acceptable. 4. Constant handholding is not acceptable We will help with training, support, roadblocks, and gaps in knowledge where needed. That is normal.

What is not acceptable is being unable to problem solve, think independently, or build and deliver assigned work end to end. Frontend work assigned to you is your responsibility. We are looking for someone who can own this part of the development process properly. 5.

You must be able to adapt quickly Frameworks, systems, workflows, and responsibilities can change. We need someone who is open to learning quickly and adapting fast when needed. If you are rigid, slow to adapt, or resistant to learning new things, this role is probably not for you.
