Location: Lisburn (Remote-heavy, hybrid) Salary: Up to £65,000 Industry: IoT / Smart Buildings / Energy Tech About the Role Our client is building a platform that sits right at the intersection of smart buildings, IoT, and real-time data. Their product is used by major retail and enterprise organisations to monitor and optimise physical assets at scale, driving energy efficiency and reducing operational cost. They’re now looking for a Front-End Software Engineer to take ownership of how that data is surfaced.

This is not a basic UI role. You’ll be working on complex, data-heavy applications where performance, usability, and clarity are critical. What You’ll Be Doing You’ll be focused on building high-performance interfaces that make complex data usable and actionable.

Developing modern web applications using React (or similar frameworks) Building real-time and historical data dashboards Turning complex IoT and energy datasets into clear, intuitive UI Integrating front-end applications with APIs and backend services Working closely with product, data science, and backend teams Contributing to UI/UX improvements and evolving design systems Writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code Participating in code reviews and engineering best practices Ideal Background They’re looking for someone who can operate comfortably in a data-heavy, product-focused environment. 3+ years of front-end development experience Experience with React (preferred), Angular or Vue also considered Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design Experience integrating RESTful APIs Exposure to testing frameworks such as Cypress or Jest Experience using Git for version control Strong understanding of performance optimisation You’ll stand out if you’ve worked on: Data-heavy applications or dashboards IoT platforms or telemetry-driven systems Fintech or SaaS products with complex data flows What You’ll Receive Salary up to £65,000 Remote-heavy working with flexibility (Lisburn office for occasional on-site) Strong progression opportunities as the product and team scale Exposure to cutting-edge work across IoT, real-time data, and energy optimisation A genuinely impactful product with sustainability at its core Who Should Apply This suits a front-end engineer who enjoys solving real problems with data, not just building interfaces.
