About the role: As a trusted advisor to founders and leadership teams, this role brings strategic HR insight and clarity. It involves guiding project teams, ensuring delivery excellence, and creating a consistently positive client experience. The position also contributes to business growth by identifying new opportunities and strengthening Flipcarbon’s consulting practice through thought leadership, high-quality execution, and a solutions-first mindset.
Additionally, the Principal Consultant is responsible for identifying opportunities for business growth, providing expert advice people practices and improving the overall project quality. Budget: Upto 26 LPA Duties and Responsibilities: Build and Lead Client Relationships Work directly and build strong, authentic relationships with founders and CXOs. Understand the client’s business, aspirations, challenges, and the realities they operate in.
Lead client engagement and oversee the successful delivery of projects, ensuring that client expectations are met or exceeded. Proactively address client issues with speed and efficiency, resolving any concerns that may arise during the project lifecycle. Provide expert advice on various human resources functional areas, Talent Advisory, compensation, performance management, talent development, employment transactions, and policy compliance.
Offer comprehensive and strategic guidance to clients, addressing complex HR challenges and supporting their overall business objectives. Cultivate strong, profitable, and enduring relationships with clients, acting as their primary point of contact throughout the engagement. Collaborate with clients to implement services and plan projects effectively, aligning with their business goals and needs.
Ensure that contracts are executed in accordance with agreed terms and conditions, adhering to high-quality standards. Collaborate with the sales teams to generate new business leads and participate in the proposal development process. Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to expand services offered to existing clients.
Drive Fractional CHRO Execution across: Organization structure, job grading, role clarity Performance Management (PMS, KPIs, KRAs, Balanced Scorecard) Talent Acquisition transformation Employee Experience & Engagement Capability building & leadership development Compensation basics, variable pay models Culture building & governance models Succession planning and future-proofing talent Deliver with Discipline Create timelines, manage stakeholders, and drive outcomes. Prepare 90-day plan for clients and adherence to it Collaborate with leaders, internal consultants, analysts, and subject matter experts. Maintain documentation, dashboards, and ensure quality delivery.
Move projects smoothly from Diagnosis → Build → Operate → Handover. Solve Problems with Maturity Bring structure to ambiguity. Use data, judgment, and experience to craft practical solutions.
Balance founder expectations with organizational realities. Say what needs to be said — with empathy and Candor. Practice & Revenue Leadership Drive revenue growth for the Fractional CHRO practice Shape and grow the CHRO advisory practice in collaboration with leadership Guide pricing, contracting, and commercial strategy to ensure profitability and sustainability.
Contribute to Flipcarbon’s Growth Build playbooks, frameworks, and reusable assets. Mentor junior consultants. Education and Qualifications: Must Have MBA / PGDM in Human Resources (or equivalent HR specialization) Bachelor’s degree in Business / Commerce / Psychology / related field Good to Have SHRM / HRCI / CIPD certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR/SPHR, CIPD Level 5/7) Certification in PMS / Balanced Scorecard / Talent Management / OD Coaching or facilitation certification Experience: 15+ years of experience in HRBP, OD, Talent roles, or HR Consulting.
Experience working with founders, family businesses, or fast-growing companies is an advantage.
