Department: Finance Location: Bristol, UK Compensation: £55,000 - £65,000 / year Headquartered in Bristol, Rowden employs around 160 people and operates over 20,000 square feet of engineering and manufacturing facilities. We have a growing international footprint and are one of Europe’s fastest growing engineering businesses. Due to increased demand, we are expanding our commercial finance capability and are looking for a commercially minded FP&A Analyst to support pricing, planning, and decision making across the business.

Key areas of responsibility Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Build and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis. Support headcount and cost modelling, including workforce growth planning across teams and programmes. Analyse performance against budget and forecast, identifying drivers, risks, and areas for action.

Contribute to improving the quality, pace, and robustness of FP&A outputs, including increased automation and use of modern tooling. Commercial, ROI & Pricing Support Support pricing for new customer opportunities, working with sales, delivery, and bid teams to model costs, margins, and commercial risk. Maintain and develop pricing models for both standard and non standard deals.

Perform ROI analysis for investments, initiatives, and delivery models, supporting prioritisation and decision making. Assist with contract level financial analysis, including margin analysis, sensitivities, and downside risk assessment. M&A and Strategic Support Support financial analysis related to potential acquisitions, investments, or strategic partnerships.

Assist with modelling, scenario analysis, and commercial due diligence activities as required. Contribute to post investment or post acquisition financial analysis and tracking where relevant. Cross Functional Decision Support Work with stakeholders across the business on cross cutting initiatives that require financial insight.

Produce clear, well structured analysis that supports both short term decisions and longer term planning. Help define and track KPIs that link financial performance to operational outcomes. Process Improvement & Tooling Actively contribute to improving finance processes, models, and ways of working.

Explore and embed the use of automation and AI to improve analysis, forecasting, and reporting. Support the ongoing development of models used for management and board reporting. Key skills, experience and behaviours Essential Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with strong technical accounting grounding.

Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with high confidence in Excel or equivalent tools. Commercial mindset with interest in pricing, contracts, ROI, and growth decisions. Ability to manage multiple workstreams and switch context effectively.

Clear communicator, able to explain financial analysis to non finance stakeholders. Desirable Experience in an FP&A, commercial finance, or analytical role. Exposure to pricing, bid support, ROI analysis, or M&A activity.

Experience using AI tools, financial systems, or planning platforms, or at least practical interest in using AI or automation to improve finance workflows.
