We are seeking an FP&A Analyst to join our team in Avonmouth. The role offers a high level of ownership and exposure, with the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders and contribute directly to commercial performance. Take Ownership of Trade Reporting and Performance Insight You will take ownership of weekly and monthly trade reporting across sales, margin and key performance indicators, ensuring reporting is accurate, timely and commercially meaningful.
Beyond reporting, you will interpret performance, identify trends and provide clear, actionable insight to stakeholders. This role requires someone who can move beyond producing numbers to explaining what is driving performance and what actions should follow. Support Forecasting and Drive Commercial Analysis You will play a key role in budgeting and forecasting cycles, supporting reforecasts and ongoing performance tracking across the business.
You will deliver ad hoc analysis and deeper performance reviews, identifying risks and opportunities to support decision‑making. You will also contribute to quarterly business review packs and support improvements in reporting processes, working with Finance Systems and BI teams to drive automation and efficiency. Partner with Senior Stakeholders Across the Business This role involves regular interaction with senior non‑finance stakeholders, including Retail Operations and Client Teams.
You will act as a trusted partner, translating financial data into clear, commercially relevant insight and supporting performance discussions. You will be confident communicating with stakeholders, able to challenge constructively and influence decision‑making where required. Operate Independently in a Fast‑Paced Environment You will work in a high‑volume retail environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines.
The role requires someone who is comfortable working independently, taking ownership of their workload and managing multiple deliverables. You will be expected to identify opportunities to improve reporting, processes and insight, contributing to the ongoing development of the FP&A function. About You You are an FP&A Analyst, Finance Analyst or Commercial Analyst with strong experience in financial planning & analysis, reporting and performance insight.
You are likely part‑qualified (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) or have equivalent experience, with a strong foundation in commercial finance. You bring advanced Excel capability and are comfortable working with large datasets, with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insight. You are confident working with stakeholders and are able to communicate effectively with non‑finance audiences, including more senior stakeholders.
You are proactive, detail‑oriented and comfortable operating in a fast‑paced environment with multiple priorities. You take ownership of your work, are confident working independently and are motivated to continuously improve how reporting and analysis is delivered.
