Founding Engineer

About Wardly Wardly is building Clinical Context Engine for outpatient care. We aggregate EHR data, external records, and referrals, then call patients via voice AI ~24 hours before their appointment. The result: a structured visit brief (CC, HPI, ROS, differentials, focus areas) delivered directly into the EHR before the physician walks in the room. We have live customers across primary care, GI and psychiatry, and we're growing fast. The Role You'll be the first engineer on the core team working directly with the founders to own Wardly's technical architecture end-to-end. This is not a \"build someone else's spec\" role. You'll make real product and infrastructure decisions that shape how Wardly scales across hundreds of EHR integrations, voice AI pipelines, and health system deployments. What You'll Own Voice AI pipeline (patient outreach calls, structured data extraction) EHR integrations across FHIR R4, eClinicalWorks, AthenaHealth, and new EMR targets Data aggregation layer: EHR + HIE + referral data Visit brief generation and delivery back into clinical workflows Infrastructure reliability, security (HIPAA), and scalability What We're Looking For Full-stack or backend engineering experience Hands-on experience with healthcare interoperability (FHIR R4, HL7, EHR APIs, HIE) is a strong plus Comfort working with LLMs/AI pipelines in production Experience with voice or real-time communication systems (Twilio, Vapi, etc.) is a bonus Strong bias toward ownership.
