We are solving the most fundamental problem in Indian recruitment unverified credentials, unvetted candidates, and broken trust between employers and job seekers. Every candidate on CredX is credentialed, verified, and badged before they ever reach a hiring manager.

We are incorporated in the USA and operating out of Hyderabad. Our stack is Java, Spring Boot, MySQL, Razorpay, and Azure. We are assembling a founding product team of exceptional engineers who will architect and own this platform from day one.

Everything you build goes to production. If you think in systems, care deeply about data integrity, and want your architectural decisions to be the foundation a company runs on this seat is yours. What You Will Own System Architecture Design and evolve the backend architecture across billing, verification, hiring, users, roles, and admin systems.

Own database schema design, indexing strategy, transactions, and audit trails. Set API contracts for the frontend team before implementation begins. Make architectural decisions independently and defend them with reasoning.

Billing and Payments Build the full billing system including base plans, seat management, mid-cycle upgrades, proration, renewals, and failed payment handling. Implement secure webhook handling with signature verification, idempotency, and reconciliation. Ensure the backend is the sole source of truth for plan entitlements, seat limits, and paid feature access.

Primary stack is Razorpay with potential Stripe integration. Core Product Systems Design and enforce RBAC across Super Admin, Admin, Hiring Manager, Recruiter, and Applicant roles. Build verification and document processing workflows.

Own authentication and authorization using JWT and Spring Security. Build reliable, secure REST APIs with proper validation and error handling. Team and Delivery Own delivery end-to-end from design to production release.

Take accountability for production stability, incident response, and long-term reliability. What We Are Looking For 2-4 Years of Strong Java and Spring Boot foundation, you design production-grade systems from scratch, not just extend existing ones. Deep MySQL proficiency, including schema design, query optimisation, indexing, and transactions.

Real experience with payment systems subscription lifecycle, webhooks, proration, and entitlement enforcement from any context: internship, project, or open source. Strong system design thinking you identify bottlenecks, design for failure, and make deliberate tradeoffs. Solid understanding of JWT, Spring Security, and RBAC design.

Actively uses AI development tools to multiply output. Cursor, Copilot, or equivalent is part of your daily workflow. Comfortable owning the entire backend in a small founding team without waiting for direction.

Preferred Skills Familiarity with Razorpay Subscriptions, Stripe Billing, or similar payment APIs. Experience with multi-tenant data architectures. Exposure to Azure deployments, storage, and cloud environment management.

Understanding of verification, KYC, or document processing workflows. Familiarity with Angular API contract planning and cross-team integration. Prior founding team or early-stage startup experience.
