The Role

As a Counterbalance Forklift Driver, you'll play a vital role in the distribution operation, ensuring products are moved, stored and loaded safely and efficiently.

Working within a temperature-controlled warehouse, you'll be responsible for supporting the movement of stock between production and transport, preparing customer orders and maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety and organisation.

This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely throughout the warehouse and loading areas.


• Loading and unloading vehicles efficiently while ensuring products are secure for transport.


• Picking and preparing customer orders accurately from order instructions.


• Completing stock rotation and replenishment to maintain product flow and minimise waste.


• Carrying out daily warehouse duties while maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.


• Following all Health & Safety and food hygiene procedures.


• Working closely with colleagues across the warehouse, production and transport teams to ensure customer orders leave on time.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

• A valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (renewed within the last three years).


• Previous experience operating a Counterbalance FLT within a warehouse or distribution business.


• Strong attention to detail and good numeracy skills.


• A positive, reliable and flexible approach to work.


• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of warehouse Health & Safety best practices.

Working Hours

• Five days over seven on a rotating shift pattern.


• Monday to Saturday working patterns apply.


• Multiple shift start times from 4:00am.


• Overtime paid at 1.25x after 40 hours worked.

Additional Information

• Applicants will be required to provide a copy of their valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence during the recruitment process.
