Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for two Driver Training and Compliance Officer posts to join North Lincolnshire Council’s Fleet Compliance team at an exciting time for the service.

This role would suit an experienced Officer who likes variety in their work in an operational environment, can create a great working environment, and is keen to make an impact and difference.

Within this role you would be:

  • Be responsible for working with the Fleet Compliance and Transport Manager on driver development, ensuring that all vehicular operations within the council comply with policies, guidelines, best practice and all relevant transport and safety legislation.
  • Be responsible for a varied caseload of enforcement issues and to answer general compliance enquiries.
  • To monitor, check assess and audit vehicle users to ensure compliance with policies and legislation and to deliver training including Driver CPC, Driver Assessor Training, LGV Apprenticeship Training or other transport-based assessment or training programmes.


To succeed in this role, you will bring knowledge, organisational skills and have negotiating, and presentation skills.
