About the role
You will manage and mentor a team of FinCrime Operations Analysts or Specialists to mitigate financial crime risks while maintaining high operational standards. This role balances people leadership with technical expertise to ensure regulatory compliance and efficient, customer-focused processes.

What you'll do
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of analysts, providing regular feedback and managing performance through career mapping and development plans.
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring adherence to internal policies and financial regulations.
- Monitor team KPIs to ensure quality standards and performance targets are met.
- Act as a subject matter expert in KYC, AML, fraud, and screening to support complex case escalations and process improvements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to refine tooling and workflows, driving operational efficiency.
- Handle administrative tasks including hiring, training, and team scheduling.
Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience leading small to medium-sized teams, preferably in an operational setting.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks related to KYC, AML, fraud, and risk prevention.
- Proficiency in identifying money laundering methods and financial crime trends.
- Ability to analyze team metrics and use data to drive performance improvements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as ICA, CAMS, or equivalent.
- Experience with analytics platforms like Looker or Superset.

Practical notes
- Salary: 17,500 BRL gross per month.
- This is a hybrid role requiring at least 3 days per week in the São Paulo office.
